Most people have ideas but nowhere good to work out whether one is worth pursuing.

The Verified Idea Report gives you the research, analysis, and honest assessment to think your idea through properly — whether you're a first-time founder, an inventor, a writer, or a maker. We don't tell you it's great. We help you find out.

What the Verified Idea Report actually is

The Verified Idea Report is a structured research and analysis document, produced for a single idea you submit. It costs £29. It is not professional advice — not a substitute for legal counsel, financial guidance, or business consulting — and it does not tell you whether your idea will succeed. What it does is give you the perspective, evidence, and questions that most people never work through properly before deciding what to do next.

The report draws on publicly available market data, competitor and substitute analysis, and a structured assessment of the conditions your idea would need to succeed in. Where we use AI processing to assist with research or drafting, that is clearly indicated. Where we cite a figure or a claim, we explain its source so you can check it yourself. The method is transparent because that is the only way the report is genuinely useful to you.

Not every idea warrants a report. If your idea is very early — a vague interest rather than a worked-out proposition — the free tools on this site are the better starting point. And if the research we conduct turns up nothing worth building on, we say so plainly, and we explain what would have to change before the picture looked different. That honesty is not a flaw in the service; it is the point of it.

A report typically covers: the problem your idea addresses and whether there is evidence people experience it; who else is addressing it and how; what a person who wants what you're offering would use instead today; where the idea is defensible and where it is exposed; and a considered next step — a specific, affordable action to test real demand before committing further resource. It is a thinking partner for the part of the process that usually happens alone, at a desk, with no one useful to talk it through with.

What the report actually covers

The Verified Idea Report examines six aspects of your idea that most people skip — and that matter most when you're deciding whether to act.

Market evidence, not market size

We look at whether real demand exists today — not headline figures, but specific signals that people want what you're describing.

How we research

What makes it defensible

Defensibility is how hard your idea is to copy. We assess what — if anything — would stop a well-resourced competitor from doing the same thing.

See the method

The free alternative problem

Every idea competes with what people already do instead. We name those alternatives and examine why someone would switch.

Where the idea is weakest

We identify the assumptions your idea depends on most — and flag which ones would need to be true for it to work.

A specific next step

Each report closes with one concrete, affordable action to test demand — not a roadmap, just the right first move.

Plain language throughout

No jargon, no MBA shorthand. The report is written to be read by anyone thinking seriously about an idea — not just technical founders.
